Arsenal have gone the longest since starting one of the Boys in Green, Eddie McGoldrick started their final game of the 1993/94 season under George Graham away to Newcastle - none of the Scot's successors has started an Irish player in the Premier League.
Damien Delaney and Robbie Keane hold the distinction of being the last Irish player to start in the top flight for two separate clubs, Delaney for Leicester in March 2002, and also for Crystal Palace this past April, while Robbie Keane is the last Irish player to start for Liverpool in January 2009 against local rivals Everton, and also for Tottenham Hotspur in his second spell at the club in October 2010 against Manchester United.
